The 512 GB Series S leaves 364 GB for games, and GTA 6 needs about 209 GB of it. Where our Series S estimate comes from, and how the 1 TB model compares.

On a fresh 512 GB Series S, GTA 6 fits and leaves about 174 GB for other games after the largest estimate. Every large game you keep installed comes out of that same space, so check yours in the calculator. The 1 TB model, with 800 GB usable, leaves 610 GB.
If Rockstar ships the full 150–200 GB package to Series S as well, plan for 275 GB free instead of 209 GB. The calculator switches to the real size once it is published.
Microsoft's Jason Ronald said in 2020 that games would install about 30 % smaller on Series S than on Series X, because developers can leave out the highest-resolution textures. We apply that to the Series X estimate of 150–200 GB E source and get 105–140 GB E source. This is our calculation, so it carries an E badge, and Rockstar could still ship one package for both consoles.
We assume the day-one patch is as large as on Series X, which errs on the safe side.

Seagate Storage Expansion Card and WD_BLACK C50 (512 GB, 1 TB, 2 TB) plug into the rear slot and match the internal SSD; USB 3.1 drives of 128 GB+ can store (but not run) Series X|S optimized games. C source
Xbox keeps about 148 GB of the 512 GB drive and about 200 GB of the 1 TB drive for the system. Games made for Series X|S run only from the internal SSD or an expansion card; a USB drive can only store them. A 1 TB expansion card adds more space than the console's own drive has, which is the fix if you keep running out.
Rockstar's 30 fps statement covers the Series S. Nothing has been said about its resolution or graphics settings, and no footage has been identified as Series S. The performance page will carry Digital Foundry's numbers once they exist.
